14 year old Rani is to get married soon. Her elder sister Sundari knows that she is a clever student and she wants to be an engineer. What seems an impossible task is soon achieved – upon much persuasion from Sundari, their parents agree to delay Rani’s marriage.
This story was made as part of a workshop with The YP Foundation in New Delhi in 2017-2018.

14 साल की रानी की जल्दी ही शादी होने वाली है। उसकी बड़ी बहन सुन्दरी जानती है कि वह पढ़ने में बहुत होशियार है और आगे चल कर एक इन्जीनियर बनना चाहती है। जो काम नामुमकिन दिखाई दे रहा था, जल्दी ही हो गया – सुन्दरी के बार-बार कहने पर उनके माता-पिता रानी की शादी टालने पर राज़ी हो गए।
यह फ़िल्म सन् 2017-2018 में वाईपी फ़ाउन्डेशन के साथ नई दिल्ली में की गई कार्यशाला में बनाई गई थी।
द वाईपी फ़ाउन्डेशन (टीवाईपीएफ़) एक युवा नेतृत्व वाली संस्था है जो युवाओं के स्वास्थ्य समता, जेण्डर न्याय, यौनिक अधिकार और सामाजिक न्याय पर नारीवादी और अधिकार आधारित नेतृत्व को बढ़ावा देती है। टीवाईपीएफ़ सुनिश्चित करती है कि युवाओं के पास कार्यक्रमों और नीतियों के विकास और उनके क्रियान्वहन का नेतृत्व करने के लिए जानकारी, क्षमता और अवसर हों जो उनके जीवन पर प्रभाव डालते हैं और उन्हें सामाजिक बदलाव के जागरुक और सक्षम लीडर के रूप में पहचाना जाए।
