Festival Host, Patna
My name is Laadli (she/her). I am from Patna, Bihar. I am a member of Bihar Youth for Child’s Rights. This is an initiative that works on child rights and women's empowerment at the state level. I worked as a responder at Tech Sakhi, Point of View. I am really interested in writing and dance. There must be many young people in Bihar like me who like to write, I also want them to get a platform.

I envisioned a Human Library, where stories breathe through people—spoken, not inked, offering voices of resilience and strength. I wanted to create a space where conversations bloom between strangers, dissolving preconceptions. This festival is a reflection of the belief that storytelling can build bridges across divides. It humanises experiences and inspires empathy, creating understanding where silence once stood.
Through the richness of these personal stories, we create a community that listens, learns, and grows together. The participants from nearby low-income communities of Bhopal shared their rich stories.
The audience for our festival were absolutely mainstream movie-goers. Short 2 minutes’ digital stories were a new experience for them to watch. There was a lot of excitement in the room. It opened up a few reflective realisations. For example, someone shared that they questioned their own unconscious biases while watching the stories. Conversations and exercises post-viewing enabled a lot of inclusivity within the room.
