Mumbai welcomes Storybeings Festival

Hosted at St. Pauls institute of communication

Mumbai, Maharashtra

The StoryBeings Festival in Mumbai transformed everyday narratives into powerful digital stories, amplifying voices often unheard and celebrating resilience, identity, and personal triumph. This festival created a rare space for attendees to pause, reflect, and reconnect, challenging stereotypes and fostering empathy across diverse communities.

On February 9, 2024, the StoryBeings Festival brought Mumbai’s community together in a celebration of resilience and connection. Hosted at St. Paul’s Institute of Communication Education, the event welcomed stories from marginalised voices—young girls, women, queer, trans, and non-binary individuals—who inspired us to see the world through their eyes.

More than just an event, StoryBeings Mumbai became a movement, using authentic stories as counter-narratives to mainstream portrayals and leaving attendees with new perspectives and a deeper sense of connection.
