Who will be there for you when you’re locked down and lonely? What does it mean to be a lover?…
In Relationships, we find many stories that show us the complications of modern relationships and their connections to gender norms and the technology we use today. We see the mobile phone become a site for romance and building new relationships and that same mobile phone is also being used for control and violence in paternal relationships. We see stories of friendship and romance in the digital age, with facebook blocks, relationship status updates, and much else.
Stories about navigating the lack of conversation around intimacy, and stigma and isolation around pre-marriage pregnancy–the uncertainty, the helplessness that comes with it, and the self-blame and shame we are made to feel when our love doesn’t fit the norm.
We yearn to end the lovelessness that is so pervasive in our society.
